Back in May, one of our lovely customers and UK junior racing driver, Katie Milner invited us to join her on the track at Thruxton racing for a fun experience day!
With a double British Rally Champion for a father, Jonny Milner, the passion for motorsport runs in the family and Katie took a keen interest as a child.
Katie was voted ‘UK’s Most Successful Junior Female Racing Driver’ in 2016 and has continued to dominate the podium since, so joining Katie and watching her race was a real treat.
Race day with Merlin International was a wonderful experience. I very much enjoyed every bit of it. This was the first time ever I have been to a race event and as a first timer, I was delighted with high expectations. I was not disappointed at all.
Merlin International rolled out the red carpet for the 9 Group team and we were treated to VIP hosting. In addition, I was star-struck when I met Katie Milner because I had previously watched a film about her on TV practicing a lap on ice. You bet I had to get an autograph! And a few selfies of which some are already posted on my Instagram.
Watching fast cars (being a Fast and Furious fan) on a lovely sunny day, meeting the wonderful Merlin International Team and the whole vibrant atmosphere was just fantastic. I really enjoyed myself and I trust the whole 9 Group Team had a good time too.
