We appreciate that for Partners, moving service providers comes with its headaches, so Bernie works hard to make the process as smooth as possible.
Bernie has developed a structured introduction for new Partners across all of the teams within 9. Working with our Partner management team she plays a hands on role in managing the legal process as we start the Partner on-boarding. This is then handed over and managed by the Partner management team to flow through our business to ensure a thorough and comprehensive on-boarding of a new Partner.
This new process has helped to boost Partner satisfaction and has supported the on-boarding of a number of new Partners since 2019, along with many others who were introduced to 9 through the Channel Telecom acquisition.
Bernie joined 9 as part of that acquisition in 2018. 9 has benefited from her enduring relationships with these Partners; a friendly and familiar face helped to make the transition a positive one.
Bernie’s background
Bernie worked in her previous role for six years, having joined the channel from the banking sector. Bernie draws upon her 28 years’ of experience within the banking sector, even now. She credits the breadth of experience she built up dealing with a wide range of industries, to equipping her to understand and empathise with reseller business owners. She always has an eye on the bigger picture when it comes to any query from a Partner, and that approach has served all parties well.

Most service providers don’t have the luxury of having ‘a Bernie’ – there is real human touch to the Business Improvement role at 9 and this doesn’t go unnoticed by our Partners.
Being able to understand the Partners’ position enables Bernie to provide support and advice which really works. Demonstrating that you understand their business and have the knowledge and skills to help means that Bernie enjoys really positive relationships with the Partners she works with.
