Our day with the Double Downies

4.12.2018

We were lucky enough to be joined by British Artistic Gymnasts and 9 Group brand ambassadors, Becky & Ellie Downie this week at our office in Luton.

It was a chance for our staff to meet the athletes, talk through their experiences and ask plenty of questions. Definitely not your average Thursday!

As if this wasn’t enough, we had some smaller, very lucky guests joining us from Luton Gymnastics Club alongside their coach. We wanted to extend the invitation to local young gymnasts so they could experience first-hand the presence of elite athletes and hopefully leave feeling completely inspired.

Free to Perform

Becky is a double Olympian, the 2016 European bar champion and the 2015 Double European silver medallist on bars and beam.

Ellie is a Rio Olympian, 2017 European all-around Champion and Sunday Times Young Sports Person of the Year in 2017.

This really is the tip of the iceberg… if you take a look on the brand ambassador section of our website you’ll see a more comprehensive list.

Both athletes are currently focussed on competing at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and bringing home even more medals!

So, how do these athletes fit with what we do here at 9?

9’s ethos, Free to Perform, is all about allowing our customers to focus on what they are good at – growing their business. We do this by helping and supporting them with their office tech.

Bekki and Ellie are two of five ambassadors in total. We’re also represented by Maddie Hinch, Olympian and Team GB hockey goalkeeper. Gordon Reid, Paralympic wheelchair tennis player. And last but not least, Josh Webster, Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup Champion.
