This month we’re excited to introduce you to our Partner Support Team Leader, Daniel Greig. Keep reading to learn more about Dan’s important role within Onecom Partners and an insight into his wild side…
“After completing an Architecture degree in Bristol, I spent some time in beautiful Milan, enjoying all that Italian life brings and trying to find my feet in post-grad life. It may not come as a shock to you that it’s surprisingly hard to find an entry-level architecture role in another country when you don’t speak the language. I was, of course, then looking for some glamour in my life so the only obvious next step was a role in Telco in sunny Stonehouse!
All joking aside, when I joined the team at Onecom Partners (9 Group at the time) in 2016, I could tell that there was an incredibly welcoming and hardworking team here, always striving to provide the best possible service to our Partners.
Having worked within the VoIP team since joining the company, I’ve seen this area of the business naturally develop alongside the growth of IP Voice and the move away from fixed line services, in preparation for the switch-off in 2025. I work closely with the team to develop and shape our VoIP offering and provide experience across multiple VoIP platforms. With the introduction of a renewed and exciting relationship with BT WHC, this is set to really bolster our VoIP offering for our Partners, putting us in place as a true aggregator of services in the VoIP sphere – exciting times!
From working closely with all departments across the business, I’ve developed incredible working relationships and honestly couldn’t wish to work with a better bunch of people!
Outside of the office, I enjoy getting out in the fresh air, throwing myself down the steepest hill I can find on my mountain bike (not related to working with the same bunch of people referenced above I promise!). Following a move to a new house during lockdown, I discovered a trail network in the local woods, and this was the perfect opportunity to pick up a childhood hobby once again. The team will be able to confirm from the many cuts and bruises sustained that this isn’t always plain sailing, and I am still learning that trees do not get out of the way no matter how hard you ride into them!”
