The Porsche Carrera Cup, the UK’s most successful single make motorsport series, returned to Silverstone this weekend for Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2019 season. 9’s brand ambassador Josh Webster was crowned champion, in a thrilling finish.
Having missed the first two rounds, Josh needs to collect as many points as possible in the final races of the season, with the aim of securing second place in the Championship.
Josh started and finished round eleven in second place. In the partially reversed grid on Sunday, Josh started third, but took the lead on lap three and the win by 1.7 seconds. With a valuable twenty points gained over the weekend Josh is now within a few points of second place in the Championship. Listen to Josh’s post win interview now.
What next?
There are four more rounds still to race in the 2019 Championship, at Silverstone National Circuit 28/29 September and Brands Hatch GP Circuit 12/13 October.

Josh won the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholarship at the end of 2013, to race in 2014 & 2015 in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship. He went on to break multiple records including being the youngest driver to win the Championship, which he achieved in his first year.
