Defending wheelchair doubles champions Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid reached the US Open final with a straight-set win over the top seeds in New York.

Gordon Reid is a brand ambassador for 9 Group and a champion for wheelchair tennis all around the world. Wheelchair tennis is now one of the most popular Paralympic sports – the sport has seen substantial growth over the years, not least because of the profile that talented athletes like Gordon have brought to the game.

Speaking about their success at the US Open, Reid said “We’ve put a lot of work in over the last three or four months to improve a few things in our game. It’s great when it all comes together.”

Hewett and Reid will play Gustavo Fernandez and Shingo Kunieda in Saturday’s final while both will start their singles campaigns on Friday.

Everyone at 9 will be showing their support for Gordon and his partner Alfie during the final of the US Open and beyond. Gordon is hoping to retain his current excellent form and collect more grand slam titles on his way to The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
